Description
Half-Back Chariot Services is the maintenance station for the chariots of Phanes Bay. It provides a simple service of getting people in and around the city for a nominal fee of whatever the Service station needs whether it be food, scrap or other goods. While most prefer to walk, the service station is free to use for all Humans and is mainly used for pregnant women and the elderly. It goes to anywhere that is deemed part of the city as long as it is within Barren Legion protection. Horses are trained and maintained from nearby pastures but the chariots are all built, maintained and designed on site. The managers and mechanics are usually Human while the drivers tend to primarily be Barren. Chariots are signaled by a closed network buzzer system. These are primitive but effective and consist of a direct connection from various chariot stops and key buildings. A buzzer notifies the station that a chariot is requested and one is sent out immediately to that location. Payment for Barren is done upfront or ahead of time.
